About Me
I am a wife, a mom and an artist. I was an Air Force brat and Colorado was my last stop in moving with my father's career. I loved it here so much I set down some serious roots. I met my husband 20 years ago while attending CU Boulder studying photography and working in the darkroom. We got married and were blessed with a clever son now in second grade. I have owned Memory Concepts Photography for 10 years and have been a successful photographer for almost 15 years. I am blessed to be my own boss. It's a challenge but a most rewarding one. I have had the pleasure and honor of photographing hundreds of families from birth to weddings. I have families who have stayed with me since their children were babies and it's hard (for my ego) to admit some of them are graduating this year.
I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, child and family photography. Photographing the family evolution is my jam! To watch your family grow from the beginning is an honor that I do not take lightly. And the relationship built from a shared history is one I will always treasure. I provide an all inclusive photography experience. My goal is to provide a customized portrait session and hand picked art for your home and style. From the consultation meet and greet to the portrait presentation each step is tailored to fit your family.
When I am don't have a camera in hand and I am not editing you can find me making props for newborn sessions, gifts for family or whipping up a batch of balm. I have always considered myself Machiavellian with my affinity for the different arts. I love to try new things. It usually starts out as wanting to make something for family for Christmas and then turns into an obsession. I am also an avid gardener. I love growing fresh vegetables for my family and have a knack for tomatoes! But most mornings you will find my on my bike. Sun on my face and wind in my hair I love pushing myself to see how far and how fast I can go. As long as it's at least 20 degrees with no snow or ice I love riding the trails in Arvada.
